Ingredients |
Paneer - 1/4 lb or 1 pack Onions - 4 (big) Cashews - 15 (full) Green Chillis - 2 Tomatos - 2 Ginger - finely chopped length wise Spices(Cardamom, Cloves, Elachi etc.) Turmeric powder - 1tsp Garam masala - 1 tsp Chat masala - 1tsp Salt to taste Butter - Half cup Dry fruits Saffron Coriander leaves |
Cooking Procedure |
1) Chop 3 onions and fry them in one tbsp of butter unitl they turn brown. 2) Chop tomatoes and fry them in a tsp of butter adding 1 tsp of salt and turmeric powder. 3) Grind onions and tomatoes seperately into paste. 4) Fry paneer in a tbsp of butter till they turn light brown. 5) In a pan, put the remaining butter, add all spices, ginger, green chillis(cut into long halves) and chopped onion. Fry them till light brown. 6) Now add the onion paste, fry for a while and add tomato paste, salt and red chilli powder. Fry till the butter leaves the edges of the pan. 7) Add fried paneer. Add 1 1/2 cups of water and cook for 5 minutes. 8) Make a smooth paste of chasew nuts, add it to the curry and cook for 5 mins. 9) Add garam masala and chat masala and cook for 5 more minutes and take off from flame. 10) Finally garnish with chopped coriander leaves, saffron and fried dry fruits. |
Additional Information |
All the ingredients should be fried seperately. Food color can be used. |
