చికెన్ తందూరీ

Preparation time
1 to 2 hrs
Ingredients
Chicken 2 lb (legs skinless)
Yogurt - 1 cup
Ginger & garlic paste 2 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Garam masala powder ½ tsp
Lemon juice 1 tbls
Butter or oil - 2 tbls
Salt
Cooking Procedure
  1. Remove the skin, wash and clean the chicken legs. Make 3 deep slits on each piece.
  2. Drain the water from the yogurt by hanging it in a cloth for 15 min. Mix red chili powder, salt, ginger & garlic paste, garam masala powder, coriander powder, lemon juice and butter or oil to the yogurt.
  3. Apply this marinade on to the chicken legs and refrigerate for minimum 2 hours.
  4. Arrange the chicken in a baking tray and place it in a pre-heated oven for 350 degrees.
  5. After 30 to 45 min flip the chicken to the other side and cook for another 20 min until lightly browned and dry.
  6. Serve with onion and lemon.
Additional Information
To make chicken tikka, use boneless chicken pieces cut into 2 inch cubs and proceed same as tandoori chicken.
